Kim Oakley, PGT Informatics student, predicts major changes for future business

As a part-time student I was concerned that the social and networking side of Henley Business School would be difficult for me to access. Now half way through I feel that I have been invited to, and included in, everything! What piece of advice would you give future Henley students?

Take advantage of every opportunity offered to you during your time at Henley Business School, it will definitely be worth it.

If you could go back in time, what would you change to cause a difference to today's business world?

I would seek to establish a meritocracy. Those putting in the most effort (at all levels from cleaner to CEO) would be rewarded and promoted. Those who put in little effort would be demoted and given mandatory training to improve their attitude, only through hard work could they be promoted again.

What do you predict will be the major changes in business in the coming decades?

Hopefully... GMO crops will take off to reduce hunger, renewable and sustainable energy will sky-rocket, climate change will necessitate greater international collaboration, new water purification options will reduce disease and *fingers crossed* discrimination on grounds of age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation etc. will lessen drastically.
