The ICMA Centre’s unique combination of finance theory and practice provides students with a skill set, which sets them apart from graduates of other finance programmes. As you would expect from one of the top schools of finance in Europe, students benefit from state-of-the-art facilities and are taught by the world-renowned faculty and industry experts.
Our innovative learning environment, including three dealing rooms – the largest facility of its kind in Europe, teaches students how markets really function and allows the application of theory through simulations.
The ICMA Centre also boasts two large lecture theatres, several seminar rooms and a dedicated PhD research area. In addition, the centre provides pioneering audio and visual technology, allowing lecturers and academics to podcast and stream the content of lectures.
As part of the Henley Business School, the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise rated 90% of our research as internationally excellent. We publish in leading journals, are members of key editorial boards, serve as advisors and act as evaluators of research.
The ICMA Centre provides research and consultancy services to financial institutions, corporates and government agencies. Recent research projects have included work on assessing shareholder value, regulatory and policy research, risk management and investment, insurance and operations management, and the history of sovereign credit. Faculty work closely with our doctoral students who form an integral part of the research team.
